Morocco: a country very popular with tourists

If you want a change of scenery and feel completely out of place , without spending a fortune , Morocco is certainly a place for you. It must be said that from France, it is possible to take a ferry to Morocco and reach the country in just a few hours , or even to take the plane and be there even faster. Morocco is also a very authentic country despite some places that have become touristic . Impossible to be disappointed by going to Morocco.

1) Hassan II Mosque

A must-see place in Casablanca, the Hassan II mosque is a real wonder for the eyes . This massive building has indeed a part erected on the sea, and extends over nine hectares in total. If it is a place very popular with tourists , it is still relatively recent, because it was built between 1986 and 1993 .

2) Bahia Palace

The Bahia Palace is one of Morocco’s most famous monuments, which is now an integral part of the country’s heritage . Located in Marrakech , it is an old 19th century palace of eight hectares, today it is a very famous museum and one of the main places of Moroccan tourism.

3) The medina of Marrakech

In Morocco, the term medina refers to the old quarter of a city , as opposed to modern quarters. That of Marrakech is precisely known worldwide for its large ramparts which surround the city and for all the small districts which compose it.

4) The ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou

The term ksar refers to a North African fortified village . That of Aït-Ben-Haddou is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List . Located in the province of Ouarzazate , this place has been the location of many films, in particular thanks to its typical and absolutely incredible architecture.

5) Jemaa el-Fna Square

Located southwest of the medina of Marrakech, the Jemaa el-Fna square is a very popular place in Morocco. This place is also often compared to a court of miracles as there are so many activities. Several showmen meet there every day, under the dazzled eyes of tourists who do not miss a beat.
