Discover Mongolia, a country out of time

Mongolia is located between China and Russia  and remains a country with very few tourists. However, traveling in Mongolia allows a real change of scenery and the discovery of magnificent landscapes, but above all of an incredible culture. From the Mongolian plains to the desert via the capital Ulaanbaatar, discover this authentic country that is Mongolia.

A nomadic culture

It is well known, the Mongolian culture is very rich. While traveling in this country, you will be able to discover several aspects of it. Music and singing are very important in the daily life of Mongolians. These songs are very impressive, because the person who exercises them superimposes the vocal and nasal sounds. Some musical instruments are also out of the ordinary. The “Moriin-Khuur” also called fiddle-horse is the most symbolic instrument of the country. Besides that, sport also takes an important place in Mongolian society. The struggle is the national sport and fights are regularly organized throughout Mongolia. Horse racing is also popular with Mongolians who never miss an opportunity to practice it.

If you are traveling in the summer, you may be lucky enough to witness Mongolia ‘s Independence Day , “ Naadam ”, on July 11-12 . On this occasion, you will be able to observe the Mongols practicing their favorite sports and their festive rituals, but also possibly participate in them.

During a stay in Mongolia, you will certainly be marked by the smiles of the children, but above all by their resourcefulness .. Indeed, they are very quickly empowered and work very quickly with their parents, especially in the most remote regions. Indeed, Mongolia is not a very developed country and most of its inhabitants live thanks to cattle, fishing and agriculture. And unfortunately, climatic conditions force them to migrate regularly. The cold regularly causes many animal and plant losses, which further hardens the living conditions of this population. This is also why many Mongolians migrate to the capital every year in the hope of finding a job. If you go to Ulaanbaatar, you will certainly witness this poverty, especially by observing an impressive number of yurts around the concrete city.
